The Los Angeles Lakers are 16-time NBA champs. The organization has retired many jerseys, and they are still hung up in the rafters. The organization has had many all-star players that played for the team like Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, James Worthy, and many more. The Lakers had probably one of the best histories of all time. The Celtics have 17-championships, but the Lakers will soon have the same amount of championships.

I grew up watching Kobe, and he was my favorite player to play basketball. He had so many career accomplishments with the Lakers. Kobe was one of the Greatest Of All Time
and was one of the best players to play the game. Kobe was well respected among players and fans for his humility and humble attitude. He retired in the 2015-16 NBA season, where many fans were left crying and asking how 20 years went by so fast. Kobe had heavily impacted many people during his career and probably still does today. He is the 3rd all-time scorer along with many other achievements. He scored 60 points in his last game playing with the Lakers.
Phil Jackson wasone of the best coaches of all-time in the NBA. He played in the NBA but wasn't a great player. Nobody really knew who he was until he became the coach of the Lakers and Bulls. In most cases, bad players in the NBA become good coaches, while good players in the NBA become bad coaches. Phil led the Lakers to 5 of their 16 championships. He was a great coach and person, causing the fans to love him. Right now, he is working with the Knicks to try to bring their 3rd NBA championship and Carmelo Anthony his 1st ring. Phil was a great coach, but the Lakers have Luke Walton now, another great coach that will carry on the legacy of the Lakers.
